The Black in you

The Black in you
by Michael Diawuo

The Black in you,
Do you see it?
The Black in you
Do you realise it
Can you find the exception and the relaxation
That comes with having the legacy
Cause nobody can have the audacity
To take that away from you
The Black in you
Is to take the lack in you
And diverse it, like a Tina Turners hairdo
Mother Africa, your love and beauty
graces us and tells us that our
limit is much higher than Cleopatra’s needle.
Telling us that the limit isn’t the sky
But you might ask yourself why
Why you, you, you…..and you
Have the power to touch million souls
That grows with every hour, every minute, every second
Depending on how fast their hearts beat.
The Black in you
Don’t ever fear it
Don’t ever doubt it
Don’t ever forget it
Don’t ever regret it
No matter where you are
Always think of this as a delightful seminar
So climb up those stairs and reach for the inner you
Knowing that you can catch it passing through
Someone told me that knowledge is strength
But to achieve it, you would have to go through great length
Don’t be afraid to fall
Be your own Isis
And pick up the pieces
For our ancestors may have saved us from the unthinkable
But they didn’t promise us the unreachable
So you take it and hold on to it
And having a little misfit
Is alright………well……..ok

The Black in you
Go outside and see what you can do
